Vanity Tech Q: Is there a way to save downloaded audio?

Is there a way (via some available sftware, perhaps) to save a Realauidio or Windows Media Player file so that it could be replayed from one's PC or burned to a CD? I like to listen to Rush on his 24/7 site, and to some football games, but wish I could download and save these programs, burn a mini CD and then listen while working in the yard. Can this be done?

FYI CBS: Live from Baghdad - City Center Circle - Real Audio LINK Folks, this is a live feed from Baghdad. Several minutes ago it was a hot war zone as nearby gunfire was audible repeatedly. Munitions and arms fire sounds are frequent. It is not the exact center of town. It is a well known traffic circle where networks have cameras. MSNBC broadcasts from the site.

File linking: How to prevent?

How hard is it for a site administrator to prevent other sites from linking to a real audio file on the admin's server? I know that some servers don't allow US to link files for display here. Appreciate any feedback; there is a site admin I am in discussion with on this subject.
