ABC "Good Morning America" anchor George Stephanopoulos will interview President Obama on Thursday's edition of the program. Stephanopoulos is soliciting questions from viewers here. The interview is timed with the announcement of new initiatives meant to stimulate the economy and create new jobs, though given the proximity to the anniversary of 9/11, there is a good chance foreign policy will be a major part of the interview.

A freelance audio operator covering a protest at the site of a proposed mosque and community center near Ground Zero has been reprimanded for his behavior. Andrea Lafferty, who was a speaker at the mosque opposition rally, first noticed the audio operator questioning a man in the crowd who was holding a sign which read, "No Sharia Here." On Andrew Brietbart's Big Journalism, Lafferty writes: He was very aggressive, disrespectful and condescending; apparently, he did not like the man's answers about Shariah and pushed the point: "Why do you feel threatened? What are you afraid of? Why can't you answer...

Think of it as "The View" with chest hair. An insider tells us that Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie, who created the hit ABC women's talk show and serve as its executive producers, are quietly developing a "unisex" spinoff of "The View" that will attempt to inject a male perspective into the topics of the day. -snip- At the top of their list, we're told, is former "Today" show host Bryant Gumbel, as the show's moderator. SAN FRANCISCO An appeals court has reinstated a Los Angeles preacher's defamation lawsuit against ABC's news program "20/20." The Rev. Frederick Price of the Crenshaw Christian Center accuses the TV newsmagazine and reporter John Stossel of playing a clip from his sermon out of context. It appeared to show the leader of the 18,000-member megachurch boasting about his wealth. The video actually was part of a sermon on greed and didn't include Price's personal information.

Saturdays Good Morning America on ABC devoted a full report to former Vice President Dan Quayles son Bens run for Congress in Arizona, focusing primarily on perceived gaffes by both him and his father. As anchor John Berman set up the report, he gave the impression that he views the former Vice President primarily as a joke: "It's time to dust off the jokes and hold on to your potatoes. Who can forget the vice presidency of Dan Quayle? His mortal feud with TV's Murphy Brown. His battles with the dictionary. Well, now, one of his children wants to follow...

Its one thing to acknowledge that the Muslim world has had a negative reaction to America's war effort in Afghanistan and Iraq, but, when one starts referring to "the previous eight years" before the Obama administration, it starts to sound like partisan Democratic talking points. As ABCs Christiane Amanpour appeared on Sundays Good Morning America to discuss President Obamas predicament regarding his speech on the proposed mosque near Ground Zero, Amanpour at one point recounted that relations with the Muslim world had suffered during the "previous eight years" before Obama became President.

Dan Rostenkowski (?-Ill), 1928-2010. Reporting the passing of Dan Rostenkowski, the ABC and NBC anchors on Wednesday night managed to gently note his ignominious departure from public life while also including a humanizing anecdote about his life (NBC: He went back to live in the same house he grew up in in Chicago's north side, ABC: In 1985, he famously asked Americans fed up with the tax system to write him), but neither identified him as a Democrat. Nor did any on-screen graphic mark his party. In contrast, filling in as anchor of the CBS Evening News, Erica Hill managed...
